and what a week it has been! Landon's "fluffy mail"came on Tuesday, so we have officially been cloth diapering since then. It's been interesting to say the least. There is a lot of trial and error involved with it and that's generally something you don't want to say when you are dealing with poop. I am a bit disappointed with the diapers though. The first night he stayed dry and it almost brought tears to my eyes when I picked him up out of his crib and he wasn't soaked, I thought "finally!!!", but that was short lived as he was soaked the next night. ugh! I emailed the company that I bought them from, but have yet to hear from them. For whatever reason this is stressing me out more than it should, so hopefully something works out soon. I was really looking forward to this, so all this trouble is a bit of a let down.
Cheye is doing good. Being her normal toddler (another word for crazy person) self. We are still trying to potty train. Some days are better than others and to be perfectly honest, because I haven't felt 100% this week, I haven't been pushing it and she has been *gasp!* wearing a diaper for a good portion of the day. It will happen when it happens, right? I bought the book "1,2,3...magic" to better deal with her toddler eruptions. I have only put it into action for a few days, but I think she's starting to get the idea. The book basically says to show no emotion during discipline and just do it, no talking either, so it's a stretch for me and my former method of explaining things to her and more than likely talking to much while punishing. No spanking and no yelling. Hopefully this sticks, I am sick and tired of being "that Mom" at Target, haha.
I have a photo assignment this weekend, and have to shoot at a race event on Saturday. I am NOT looking forward to this, pressure makes for not good pictures. I asked some of my instructors former students about how the critiques go and was not happy. Apparently they consist of him putting the pictures on the smart board and the class ripping them apart... remind me again why I wanted to be a photographer.
Well, I guess that will do it for this update. I will try and add some pictures later today, but I can't make any promises. Still no word about Bill's job, but he did talk to someone at the office and he told Bill that "a little birdy told me the end of the month (when he would move over to OSI)" so we will see, but I think that's a pretty good indication that he got the job! Here we go, I guess!
Oh and I had to share this... for a good laugh check out www.PeopleofWalmart.com makes me want to get my cellphone out every time I visit (it's almost like hunting here).
